FAQ
Why are your rates usually higher than other belly dancers?
My rates are higher than other belly dancers due the amount of experience I have in the industry, and also because of my technical ability. A lot of my money is invested in high quality belly dance clothing, and as you may know, transport costs are always on the increase. If you are looking for a great belly dance performance or a service of quality, the chances are, no matter what market you’re in, the costs associated will be higher.
Why do you charge more to travel outside London?
It takes more time to reach cities or towns further away, plus the transport costs are much higher (National Rail or Taxis). You have to remember, sometimes I might have to cancel other jobs to make it to an event outside London, therefore I can also lose income from my other shows.
What types of belly dance clothes do you perform in?
I dance in modern, and traditional belly dance clothing. Some clothes are conservative, whilst others are more suitable for occasions such as fashion shows or night clubs. I dress accordingly for each set of circumstances. I understand that in events such as weddings, there can be religious family members and friends who are not accustomed to the belly dance tradition. If you feel that there may be any objections, feel free to contact me, and we can discuss about these issues.
What belly dance styles are you specialised in?
I am specialised in Egyptian, Iraqi, Khaleeji and Brazilian style belly dance. I can perform with sticks (silver + gold), swords, wings and veils in various different colours.
Where are you originally from?
I am originally from Brazil, but I’ve travelled to many Western, Middle Eastern, African and Asian countries applying my trade and learning from some of the world’s best belly dance performers. I easily mix in with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
